The Big 10's house of cards fell in today.  I am so glad I was here to see it.  Every Big 10 apologist I talked to today was already past the denying phase.  It was pure counter-accusation time:

B10apologist:Yeah, but what about Alabama, Auburn, yada yada, yada.
BIE: St. James and the tattoo five just knocked all pretense of ethics and integrity from whatever it is you people do up here.
B10apologist: Well, Jim Herrick, Jr.
BIE: We've never pretended to be ethicaler than the other conferences.
B10apologist: Yeah, because you are dirty.
BIE: Jim Delaney is the debil.
B10apologist: tOSU finally beat an SEC team.
BIE: tOSU won't be able to beat Dayton once the NCAA is through with them.
B10apologist: Biggot.

You know how it goes.

My work here is complete.  Delta, I'm ready.

  1. Hee hee. That ended exactly right, except there's at least a 70% chance that William Techumseh Sherman would have been invoked.

  2. All Dawgs should have been offended by his smooth denials, open hypocrisy and excuse-making to stay that way. After AJ was hit and we were deprived of his services, the Ohio Gang continued to pose after every game they won. Yep, they're a smart bunch of Yankees alright! NOT!
