Pay for Play

One thing that keeps bothering me is the lack of a slippery slope argument being bantered about the pay for play trial balloon floated by Delaney.

Surely if Auburn has been paying players for years, they will soon become the market leaders in stipend distribution if they can do it (mostly) legally, right?  Would it curtail the thriving used car and tattoo business in Columbus?

  1. First, every school would have to do this. Nobody in their right mind would allow JUST the Big 10 to do this and give students thousands more than others.

Second, most D1 schools lose money on football every year. Now forcing them to fork over hundreds of thousands....idiotic, imo
