In what sounds like a curse to a 10 year old boy, Jadeveon Clowney summed up his recruiting experience very nicely. Yeah, he had some great stuff about Nick Saban ("The guy ain’t nothing but 5-5. He’s a short guy") and Dabo Swinney, but the money shots are all about the ladies.
On Alabama's girls: They're just my type."
On the ladies in Columbia: "They love football players up there. I was smiling and laughing about everything.”
On Clemson's coeds: “They would do anything just to get me down there. I was laughing, but I didn’t really mess with anybody.”
If there has ever been a clearer call to young men to work harder at their athletic pursuits, I don't know what it is. That the ladies love them some football players is no secret. Hell, The Kiffer knew that. Clowney decided on South Carolina because he has family there and it feels familiar. Looks like Clowney decided the known was better than then unknown, in more ways than one.
Said Dabo: "That's a bummer."
This guy will be fun to watch on the field and in the press. Oh, yeah. It'll be fun watching the Spurrier and Clowney show at SEC media days in a couple of years, too.
