What happened in Nashville yesterday?
Florida laid a smackdown on Vandy. Now before you start with the, 'yeah, but it's Vandy' thing, remember: Florida pre-Burton, Demps, and Time to Die, Florida was averaging just 23 ppg. That included point outputs of 7 and 6 in losses to 'Bama and Mississippi State. In two games, they have pulled their ppg up to over 31ppg.
More tellingly, in just two games, Florida has pulled it's average yard per game up over 30 yards. Pre-tweak, Florida was averaging under 325 yards per game. In the past two, they have moved that to nearly 360ypg.
Don't make a mistake about it, I am disappointed at what happened in Jacksonville, but Florida is a different team than they were. Offensively, they Meyer has found what he was looking for.
That doesn't bode well for FSU and South Carolina.
