Players of the Week

Dawgs Ben Jones and Aaron Murray both made SEC Player of the Week Honors.  This is the second Freshman of the Week honor for Murray in a row.

• Jones started the 29th game of his career and anchored an offense that accumulated 547 total yards during a 43-0 shutout of Vanderbilt.
• He posted a team-high 19 knockdowns and helped the Bulldogs control the ball for 37:15 minutes of the game.
• Combining with his teammates to give up no sacks to QB Aaron Murray, Jones graded out at 83 percent, including 100 percent on passing plays.
• This was Georgia’s second straight 40-point game and second consecutive game with at least 400 total yards.

• Murray completed 15-of-24 passes for 287 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions in Georgia’s 43-0 win against Vanderbilt.
• Murray added 36 yards rushing on six carries against the Commodores.
• His 323 total offensive yards against Vanderbilt was a career-high.
• He directed Georgia to scores on seven of 10 drives when he was at the controls of the Bulldog offense.
