With a 64-59 win over Tulane in the late, late game in the Women's NCAA tourney. Houts picked up 22 points and Robinson had 18, with 13 rebounds to pace the Lady Dawgs.
They jumped out to a big lead, only to surrender it before the intermission. Coach Landers' squad went on another run, only to surrender the lead again. They finally put Tulane away with an18-2 run to put the game out of reach, despite a furious comeback attempt by the Wave.
Getting Houts and Robinson back and playing well is key to a deep run for the Lady Dawgs. If they can just contain the long scoring droughts that have plagued the team all season, they have potential to make some noise in the tourney.
They will take on 4 seed Oklahoma State on Monday (TBA), who were 70-63 winners over Chattanooga.
