Live from Madison Sqaure Garden

Basketball in the City, y'all.

I'll attempt to live blog from the Direct TV SEC/Big East Challenge live from Madison Square Garden with the Dawgs taking on St. John's in the first game and Kentucky vs. UConn in the second.

*Plenty of UK fans out and about last night and today. We'll need them yelling for us.
•Crowd is small. As many Dawg fans here as St.Johns fans.
•Dawgs are playing pretty solid. We need to be more disciplined on D.
•There are banners in here commemorating the 1928 Stanley Cup Champs. Brad who is bad and Nationwide asked if they had ice back then.
•At Halftime, they are celebrating the top 10 college basketball moments in MSG history.
•To the UK fan that got an usher to move us out of their primo seats IN A SECTION WITH FIVE PEOPLE IN IT, to hell with Kentucky.
•28-25 at half. Solid effort. We need more ball discipline and better contain on D.
•Moment number 1 wasn't the 6 OT Big East semi I predicted, it is the City College of NY championships.
•Down 7 with 1:36 to play. We need some magic.
•37% from the field will not win you many ball games.
•66-56 StJohns. Final. Too many missed shots. Too much lacadsical ball coverage on the perimeter on D.

More tomorrow.

Go Dawgs from New York City.
