Fox's Hounds to take on the Wofford Terriers

Coach Fox will lead the Dawgs against Wofford tonight at Stegman at 7pm.  I am told plenty of great tickets are still available.

This game is very important for the mindset of the Dawgs.  Last season, the Dawgs got off to a difficult start with a second game loss to Loyola of Chicago in Wes Lafayette for the first game of the Preseason NIT.  We needed overtime to beat Wofford last season 74-73 after two miracle 3's from Zac Swansey, including the game winner at the buzzer, saved the Dawgs.  Wofford nearly knocked off Pitt in Pittsburgh last week, leading the Panthers by 13 at one point in the second half, only to lose 63-60.  While the Panthers lost all five starters from last season's regional final team, they are still a pretty tough Big East team.

The Terriers are lead by F Noah Dalhman who led the SoCon in scoring last year with a shade under 18 ppg while coming off the bench most of the season.  He is joined by F Tim Johnson and G Junior Salter, both averaging double digits last year.  They are joined by a 6'8" guard Corey Godzinski to make a team that is expected to contend for the SoCon championship this season.

A win here will give some needed confidence before hitting the road against UAB on Saturday.

Go Dawgs!
